Here is my go at this. Its my first time overdrawing or in this case over painting.
I just thought by adding some more value contrast that the piece would be more powerful. I also tried to cover up the fact that you had used all the same colors to do this.
Not bad work for a mouse though. I give you credit. Go study some of the old masters maybe Dutch masters like Frans Hals or Rembrandt.
Really study the direction that they painted in and how they seemed to sculpt with the oil paint.

Oh and just a side note. I would use reference for a while until you think you know exactly how the light and shadow would work in a given piece and even then its not a bad idea. |
