Hmm, it's been a long time since my last post. Been working my ass off in animation school. Anywho, I was just doodling around with this the other day and thought I'd post it to see what you all think.

yah, punks chicks are the coolest
As for the pic, her skin tones are a little 'dirty', try to add some warmer tones. But it could be due to the paper greyness, if you get what I mean.
Post the finished pic when you're done! |

Nice pic man!
You mentioned animation school..How's that comming along? I'm considering taking a classical animation course at sheridan but I've heard that I'll probably have to leave canada to have a job worth working for in that industry..On the other hand I was also examining the bachelor of art/history at sheridan. Do you have any info you could share about your experience so far? If your too busy don't worry about replying, and once again, nice pic, good design and feeling to it. |

G_Luder: To love is to loose and to loose is to die. And why did you say that things shall fall and fall and fall and fall apart...
Death in June? I love it!!!
I would say she is some sort of raver, definitely not punk... |

Oh no!!
It seems the "punk" description has heinously contradicted someone's delicate lexicon of social cliques.
Our description has been challanged. The glove is on the floor and they are waiting. If we loose they will become cooler then us, with their oh-so-cool quotes and exacting categorizations. What are we to do??? Oh the horror! THE HORROR!
Well, I'll tell you what I'm going to do:

well. her eyes look wierd. irises are usually more circles than ellipses. and her head is inflated, but maybe you knew that? |

Holy crap! I'm gone for a few months and you all start flamin me like I'm a newbie.
First of all, I put the title "Punky Girl" because I couldn't think of any other interesting titles. I'm sorry if I've offended any "punk purists" out there, but the fact is that the golden age of easily classified, "standard" punk is over. Anyone can be a punk these days. (personally, I don't really like punk music)
Secondly, this isn't really a serious pic. I know what irises can do, and what they look like. This is a seriously deformed, cartoon drawing. It was done this way on purpose. I haven't colored something in Photoshop for quite some time now, so I just grabbed a page out of my sketchbook, scanned it, and had at it.
As for you all arguing in my post, go do it elsewhere, or get one of those, what do you call em... oh, lives.
PS: It is possible to make black shading work in a composition. |
