Hey tweeder, the drawing looks on the right track so far. But it'd help if you post the ref pic.
Anyway, advice I can give you though is that when doing portraits try not to spend too long focused on the line drawing aspect.
If you want it to look realistic (you may not, I'm not sure) the drawing will be less about line and more about shade and blocks of tone.
Anyway, give it some shading until the lines gradually disappear. Good work and keep us posted. ![](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

i'm going to finish the line part, then ink it, then color it in photoshop .. that's the way i like to do it and as much of a style as i have. i work on realistic shading as i color it .. not the sketch. i'm gonna put a lot of detail into the sketch/ink though .. so it'll be a while before i start coloring

Beauty of a start, man, though I personally wouldn't draw Liv. . . ANYWAYS, I think the nose is too long and not pointy enough, based on the ref pic. Also, the mouth is too small--in the ref pic it extends to below the pupil of her eye, like most mouths do. Your pic doesn't reflect that. Keep workin' it. |
