i think its a he... i THINK.... but the clothes are great, better than i can do! only thing is that upper arm on the arm thats holding the telescope is a little too bright i think? i dunno. *rolls away*

yeah it is a he. damn. thats when you know you screwed up. i thought he looked kind of like the crow, unintentionally. maybe i'll change it though. im aware the feet are really goofy looking, thats why they're not done yet. im probably going to make the legs longer as well. since im doing that, i dont think the torso is too long, just his head being oversized. you're saying the left arm is too bright? hmm... i was trying to contrast the arms so it didnt get all blendy. ill mess with that.. maybe ill get lucky. i dont know if the upper right arm is too long, because the shoulder would drop down. but is the upper torso that bad? im not actually going to redraw it, but i hope i didnt screw up that much. im also thinking there might be shadow on his face.

if his shoulder is down then that neck is way too long. i still think the torso is massive. i think what makes him look feminine are the large, high cheek bones, small nose and generally smooth (not angular) face. give that pirate some stubble.

your painting is really good so far, but the initial proportions are messing up the whole picture. her torso is massively long, along with her right upper arm, her hip looks broken, and her feet are in a very strange and uncomfortable position. i think you should try redrawing (digitally) everything from the chest down.

theres your whole problem, clothes should be worn, not painted, makes for a very sticky ensemble your way...

also, (since I cant edit my own post) the seam at his crotch should come from his left leg, not his right, since he seems to be standing wioth his left side dominant. It should but up to the crotch and then zip up and over to the right some.

yeah i see what you're saying. while i was staring at the floor in math class today, i decided how im going to change it. ill post the results in a few days, or as time allows. (im sure you cant wait)
