Infiltration - Flash Movie
Hey guys, just a small preview of the flash movie I'm working on over the summer, just for fun. When its finished it should run about 10 minutes long hopefully, I want it to be really large, because I probably wont get to do any more fun flash movies like this again.
NOTE:: In this preview, some scenes are out of order, and are not finished (will be much more fluent, I'm going for anime fluency with this one). This is just kind of animated storyboarding at this stage.
Either way, let me know what you think so far, even though its not much. |

It has that whole hardass-spy theme ya, but not metal gear specific. Pretty much what I want when he breaks into the building he's simply gonna go in there and start blaring guns, and fighting hand to hand (if my animation skills will take me that far). not much talking, not much of a plot, just breaking in, kicking ass, maybe a nice one-liner once its all done. This is more a practice in doing cool camera angles/shots than producing an intriguing story, although I'm going to try my best, but I'm no writer :)
Oh, and about his face, I don't think he looks like any character I've seen, I'm not a metal gear fan so I can only be influenced so much by it...(look closely for the lightning flash, you can see him a lot better, you'll see what I mean)
Anyway, gotta run, thanks for the comments so far you guys, keep em coming

Looks really good. I can see the anime-ness of it. It reminded me of MGS too.
Do you guys know of any places on the net that have tutorials or info on making flash animations? It looks fun
BTW, I like the camera angles.

Bishop: Thankya. As for flash tutorials I doubt there are any tutorials on howto actually animate well (all those tutorials show is tweening at best, which isn't a good way to animate a cartoon anyway, the best way is to simply draw a lot of frames if you want fluency)
Pick up some traditional animation books or just study things like I try to do, and see how gravity affects things.
A flash tutorial on the web will show you howto make a ball bounce, but it won't tell you that whenever the ball hits the ground it gets slightly flattened...just little details like that, is what makes an animation more effective. |

RRoam: A preloader already?? It's just a preview, and its 40k man, even a 14.4 could get that in seconds. |

Looks really cool. The style reminds me of the game "Out of this world" That game rocked.
Well...like to see the finished movie. |

Thanks for the comments again people, wooo, keep posting
Rubycon, if you like out of this world, go check www.newgrounds.com and search for that title. Some guy did a really well-done animation based on that game and it's graphics. |

Very cool...it's people like you and the rest of us digital artisans that are really changing the face of entertainment! The so-called 'gurus' like hollywood big-wigs pushing 'digital' are 'light-years' behind the rest of us...especially you....very cool...can't wait to see more. Wow...Flash has really come a long way since being FutureSplash Animator, thanks in large part to us artisans. Again, can't wait to see more! |

Spooky: wow, those are probably the kindest words I've ever gotten about a digital piece. it's nice to hear you think i'm making a difference. which got me thinking...maybe I will take a bit more time with a storyline...perhaps make this (even though it'll be really long) into the first episode of a series? I really want it to be the coolest flash movie ever to hit the internet, and if it turns out not to be, i'll re-work it from the ground up and release it again, and again, until it is :)
Also, I don't think its quite fluent enough, so I think I'm going to add about 10 more frames to all the actions here, plus add more to the opening, after some new ideas that came to me over dinner yesterday.
Psionic: Thank you too.
Also...what do YOU guys think is the best flash movie on the net so far?

Bishop: yeah, there will be sound when it's finished...I'm going to produce some sort of official trailer when I'm about 50% done, which will be a while, because this movie is going to be a LONG one. |
