oh yeah, this was originally a splash i did in about 30 seconds for www.cubicgfx.com .. thought it looked kinda neat so here we are. a photorape. :>

i included the last one 'cause i like the duotoneness and the sovietunion-red. but it lacks the texture (handmade texture, not photoraped texture)..

hrm. other sources say #2 as well.. hmmm. i favor #1. you're all evil. you're forcing me to actually please the crowds. well kind of. shrug. more opinions thank you. (no, that is not a sincere thank you, more like 'thanx man')

I think everybody likes number2 more, since it has more contrast than 1... In 1 there is no really dark color, that makes it a little not so interesting than number2

true, but if people'd like perverted strong contrast (like i do), they'd say #3. #1 looks more interesting to me because of the dark red instead of black. ah fuck. dilemma on a epic scale!

I say either #3 or #1 the contrast between the photo and the bkg and the simpler photo values look good.

Dark red you say? hmmmmm, on my screen it doesn't look that very dark. It looks like 60% to 70% :P

I just put down the brightness of my monitor, and if the red is much darker it definetly looks very cool. Might wanna try out adjusting the brightness/contrast on the first one.

on a somewhat related topic (ramble time), gun is a fun inspiration source. and the samples are fun too. in fact, most of FLA's music is great for inspiration and whatnot. but then again, it's great anyway, so moot point. =)

i wasn't really going for anything.. more like i just did without thinking :> although the text i thought about. in fact, more than alot. they changed form and layout and shape maybe 20 times. and Arial Black rules. i dunno. if Gun was a series of images that were somehow turned "neutral" instead of "negative", those would be this. or something.

for that lovely old school flavour, Gun. emphasis on old school. i'll leave the FLA preaching away from this thread.. but in case you're interested, the directory where the file resides holds my favourite selection of FLA tracks. =)
