Spent 2 evenings on it so far. Now sadly it must be postponed due to my workload! So sad, he was doing pretty good. After I finish my current project at the end of the month I'll give him a body and lots of clothing/jewelry/weapons.

I agree with badoli the jaw needs to be bigger or more defined..other than that its pretty good.

Modeling looks good, but you should work on your texturing, he looks like stone at the moment. I think you should use a different bumpmap. Also i think it would be cooler if you replaced that sphere with a organic brain or something.
Keep up the good work!

Hey, thanks for the suggestions! I'll widen his jaw a bit-don't want to overdo it cause it'll mess up what I'm trying to achieve, but a stronger jaw line is always nice. :]
For his skin, I used a combo of skin textures and stone textures. I want his skin to look sort of dry and pseudo-stone like, like a rough old hide. Perhaps I'll make the skin bump stronger though, and lessen the stone one, just to soften up a touch. Moving it'll look much more like skin too.
Thanks again!

Hi Anthony,
Me likes that head, but to me it looks more like an orc than an ogre or troll, maybe partly because of his green skin.
Do you still have plans to make an Acrobat File out of the Loomis book? If I can help you, just tell me what I have to do. Will do it if possible. |

Orcs have green skin? I dunno, I'm working on my own fantasy/mythology anyway, so I have creative freedom. ^_^ I'm not gonna be making any Acrobat files myself, but you're welcome to. Just remember that once I finish I'm going back and re-scanning the first few chapters in the higher resolution. Once we have a full set I want to turn the whole thing over to a permanent, fast, server, like In Depth or something.

The green-skin thing is used sometimes, but there are also orcs with brown skin and/or hair. I think the green thing burnt into my mind because I saw it first.
Oh, cool that you scan the first ones again.
Want to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH again, for scanning the book, you know we all love you for that.
Maybe I will put it into some acrobat form, if I get to know how. |

Yeah, I'm certainly going to do some animations with him, facial at first. But right now I'm kind of short on time. :] I'm working on some snake animations, which are taking some time. But after these are done I'll get back to the guy and fix him up, add eyes, add costume and jewelry, and do some facial animations. Till then, here's a minor fix on his surfacing:
