Here's a painting that I whipped up really quick and I like the idea alot but im having a hard time deciding how to color her and what to add to the landscaping! Any suggestions for color or details?

Give her a somewhat pink dress.. like orient colors.. would seem ok...

Perhaps put a camel caravan in the distance..

put her on top of a dune... not in the valley

actually this reminds me of that movie "The Cell" w/ jennifer lopez in the desert... and there is a tree

Yes, it was very much inspired by "The Cell"
I think I'm going to go with an oriental pattern on the dress. Maybe like a dark deep red color with gold designs. I'm at work right now, so no progress will be made until tonight!

And I'd make the tree very out of place, like a large lush green tree. Something you'd see in a rainforest, something magical that doesn't belong in the desert so it looks as though she's really come across something magnificant.

Make some footsteps behind her from where she's walked up.

This is my take on the image. I liked the suggestion of her on a crest of a dune, placed her with a camel, rather than a caravan. I placed her in a desert-like clothing, but a gypsy look is something that might intrest you. I placed the tree on a dune plataeu to set it in a isolated environment, and irregulatity type of dune. I also created more realistically shaped dunes that cause your eye to flow from left throught to the upper right.

But hey this is just an insperational suggestion from what I saw and read.

Possiby some tattered rags hanging off a slightly nude body hair blowing slightly in a dry desert wind...but if you would rather keep her clothed try a gauzy pinkish gown with bell sleeves. Maybe make her hair a bit longer or have it in a bun with hair draping at the nape of her neck..
