Okay, so I did mess up on the hand, and I'll never finish it, but I thought I would let you guys tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I dunno, the only thing that bugs me is the pose- it's kind of awkward. Other than that, this is pretty good. Keep at it!

Ya, I know, I just fliped something out in a few minutes, and took a hour or so to go back with a pencil.

The proportions don't look too bad, but there is something wrong with the right hand. Go grip a broomstick and look in the mirror. Your thumb is only going to go so far around. Also, accentuating the upper eye lids tend to give a lethargic feel to the face. Nice 3/4 view, though, and a great ear (those can be tough!).

Actually my hand is wrong in another way as well. On the right hand my thumb is on the wrong side of the sword! I can draw hands, but its really hard for me when they are holding a sword. I guess I'll have to work on that.

Like everyone else said, the pose and the hand(s).

Possibly try turning his torso to the (his)right slightly, shifting the weight to his right leg. Turning his left hand so its horizontal, lifting his left arm above his head so the sword is facing us. Maybe doing the same with his right hand but lifting his arm halfway, then the sword would be going across his waist. If that makes any sense at all.

I don't know, now I'm just getting lost in how I think it should look...I'm going to quit rambling now..

Thanks. I have time to get better, since I'm only a little kid, that knows nothing.

A so-called-adult that knows not a lot more:

Nice work! About that hand: Its easiest to find a model for the hand. Try to draw your own in different poses and see how the thumb is located in dependece to the rest of the hand and the fingers.

My first thumbs sometimes even got on the wrong side of the hand =)

Still: Good work!

Ya, I sometimes try modeling the way I want the hands to be in front of a mirror, but then its hard to convert it over to the paper!

And that little kid thing was true yet not, so don't listen to it, I'm 16, I guess that's little right?
