time to learn to draw backgrounds, and all sorts of cool stuff for his lab. and of course, finish the guy and the floating spheres.

whoah cool.. looks like clipart or sumthing. I really like the face- a lot and the lighting is good but i think it should be more intense on the cloak though and like on the brown thing maybe even make the balls a bit brighter. I liek the overall style though

yeah i know, the floating balls and the table i just slapped in at the end to make sure i remebered where i wanted them. i think im going to have to look up a lot of reference pics to finish it though, because the background is *really* lacking. |

Hehe, I like the hard lines on the face/ hands.
but I don't think being a clipart artist is the high of one's carreer...

never give up! continue working on it!
as stated before it could use a little bit more emphasis on light and shadow. suggestion? maybe use the levels in photoshop? and also maybe try to smudge along/against the lines of the image like dhabih's style (?) just some suggestions.
as for the image, it's got a nice concept. everything looks right. good work all in all!
