Started on this around 8pm last night and went to bed around 10:30. I'm painting a recent cover from Premiere magazine with Penelope Cruz. I have never done this sort of project before, so be kind, but please give me suggestions. MY background has mostly been concert flyers, cd cover design, stuff like that, so moving into more fine art is new territory for me.

Oh my, that's great so far. I love the lip, you've done that very well. I'd like to see it finished!

Yeah, if you can make the lips this amazing you should be able to do something about the eyes :-)

I was gonna comment on the eyes, but i thought maybe you hadn't finished them

Just need to make them look like they're reflecting light.

the reason the eyes look off is because the pupil and iris of her right eye is bigger than her left. also i think the eyelashes look more clumpy than that, especially with makeup on. but like everyone else said, the lips are cool.

wow.. good job so far.. I think the nose looks a little off... but thats probly just form the sketch.. cant wait to see it finished.

Thanks. the lip turned out really well. the eyes I'm not thrilled about, though they're not horrible. She's a little too caucasian, still.
