Rather than get embroiled in a stoopid flame session, jzero suggests that bigtex do the following:
1. Consider that no one here can tell that you have any artistic skill based on what you've posted here. If you've got more, then show us.
2. Stop using the 'computer inexperience' excuse as a reason we should cut you some slack. If you can do something comparable to what you see around these forums, but it isn't electronic, by all means scan it and post it for all to see.
3. If you can't do more with pencil and paper than what you've already posted, then you need to consider art lessons, or at least get yourself a drawing instruction book from the library and have a go at some exercises.
That's my critique. Critiques are tough. People don't often and shouldn't pull punches in them. That's how you learn.

Hey bigtex, don't be discouraged! I'm not sure what you were going for, but if you wanted to make it more realistic, I'd suggest you add a highlight on the upper-left of the ball and clean up the edges a bit. Also, it would help you make some better value and composition judgements if you fleshed in the rest of the piece first. |
