Im having major trouble trying to figure out how to get a blue light to shine down on this guy. can someone give me some suggestions or give this a quick once over in photoshop. thanks

here is another progress shot. Im kinda going through this blind. This is literally the first time since I was a kid that I have used colour. I always just pencil. So someone please help me!

I'm not an expert, but I think you probably need to have the guitar darker (less luminous). A blue light shouldn't contain enough red to make the guitar that radiant. Try for a darker red, more of an oxblood or a cordovan. |

P.S. The same applies to the rest of the objects in the picture. A blue light shouldn't really light up the guy or his clothes so much, either. As I said, I am _not_ an expert, but I believe you should probably have strong, blue highlights, and everything else should be less luminous. |

Not a pure blue light - but a bright blue light will illuminate other colours.
Remember, things are affected by the colour of light. A red dress isn't always red, and a blue figure isn't always blue. Experiment with different shades of colour ... and try again
