It has been a while since I posted here, and not many of you will probably remember me (a.k.a. oscar alexander)... In fact, I've been gone so long, I had to reregister because I forgot my username/password. Shit on me
Anyway, I've been really busy with freelance webdesign/school lately, and had very little time to stick into a new digital art project. I'm planning to change this soon, and decided to get back to Sijun.com. Here's an old pic I never finished (and never will):
And another one.

Very good painting...
Can you tell us how to make the skin tones like you do ?
How you make your paintings ?
Thanks ,

Very nice skin tones. good likeness. A couple of things. The jaw looks a bit long and wonky. Mabey moving it up and to the left a little may help. Also the right (my right) eye looks wierd. The left one is good, but the right..hmmmm, I think the Iris may be too big, not sure.
Good work though! |

Yup, the skin tone is quite nice, but I'd say your eyes really don't work like that, they're like turned too much and/or the iris size/shape is wrong. Seems to me shw has two single eyes and not a pair.
Not too bad anyhow.

How about this? Hope you don't mind. I've re-shaped the face and done some work on the eyes and nose. Hope it helps.

That certainly looks much better now. There's still something a little strange with the eyes, but the overall shape of everything now comes together much nicer.
Nice job.

I'd leave it at that. No need to overwork an already solid piece, nice. |

Thanks lads!
Zenon, thanks for the make-over. It looks better indeed! The eyes looked funny to me too, but the shapes were *almost* identical to what I saw on the reference pic... (the vertical offset was too big though) Have a look:
Oh, and the skintone is just a combination of reds, yellows and browns (figures, eh?)

Cool! Yeah sorry, I meant the shading and the highlight painting was what I liked about the skin, but the tone is nice also. She looks alot younger in the photo, but still a babe, as ever! |
