Hi, ive been lurking for a few months now and I must say this forum has been very helpful and inspiring. Now here's something ive been working on for a few (6-7) hours:

The model itself is 2500 triangles, which is "lowpoly" for next-generation 3d cards, but I slapped a meshsmooth on him since he's got no textures yet. I usually spend 24 hours on the model alone when I work at this resolution, but I'm posting this one in an unfinished state because ive heavily borrowed (read: completely ripped off) from a sketch that has been posted on this board a few months ago:

(I DID NOT MAKE THIS SKETCH!!)

The problem is that I don't remember who made it If anyone does, please contact me because I don't feel confortable not giving him any credits. Also, if anyone have any comments on my model's general shape, I could use of some help because I don't really like how his profile looks.

I should probably mention also that I have a simple online portfolio.

-N

The line 'MARTIN KROL '01' at the bottom of the sketch ought to be a tip-off, dudes. At least, that's the best I can read it rhough the compression artifacting...

hot damn! that, my friend, is really cool. reminds me of something from the beatles movie, 'the yellow submarine' only cooler. maybe something terry gilliam would do these days.

hey cool..ive actually inspired someone.
great work man...i too want to see him in finished state.
can you post his cage?..with 2500 polys it looks like theres lots of polys being wasted.
2500 might not be much but once you smoothen him the poly count by the wasted polys will show...and will slow the interactivity.

keep up the good work.

oh..and zombie...thanks for the advertisment
