Just got my Wacom this afternoon. This is the first thing I did with it, took about 10 minutes. I know the shadows are wrong, the iris and pupil are off, etc, etc. Just let me know what you think. I did this all with the paintbrush tool at varying opacties.

interesting - I notice a lot of people draw eyes. Why I wonder =)
well, looks like you're getting the hang of it. Probably the first thing I would try to tackle on this particular peice is the eyelashes. I'm sure there is some picture around of some cutie with those beautiful flappy eyelashes, use that as a refrence... if you're going after comic style or just a quick idea go for stronger lines. Filled in stroke or two perhaps? - saves time and looks good.
my two cents - although these in my pockets are Canadian and probably not the same huh?
=(

P.S. Hope that helped or cleared things up. |

Wow, that's my thoughts exactly. Almost everyone I know drew an eye the first time they used Wacom (I can admit I did), very weird. I guess there's some analogy in there that you want to draw what you see or something. Quite ok an eye still (nothing guru-spectacular, but that you knew already . |

hmmmm...That's a really weird thought, because I must say that when I first got my tablet, the first thing I drew was an eye...hmmm, interesting...Ah well, anyone else draw an eye for their first tablet drawing for NO Reason IN particular? Man, I didn't even think about it until now, I just drew it for some reason....

Maybe you saw the photoshop eye when you opened photoshop and you were thinking of something to draw...and an eye popped into your head because that is in the middle of the image.... ok enough rambling and stupid ideas. BTW, that eye looks pretty cool. |

3, nice little sketch. Good move gettin a Wacom I think.
Is it just me who noticed that there are WAY too many companies making their logo an eye!? I swear it's like they think they were the first ones to think of it! Damn fools.
Anyway I don't want for this thread to be kicked to Discussion so...
