this is not supposed to be nu design. this is supposed to be the opposite. there will be no exploding polygons, no attractive females in rather ...minimalistic clothings, there will be no photo manip. it will be 100% self made, naturally. it will look like what i did a few years ago. similar stuff. and what comes to layers, i will, once i html it up, stick to the basics for the sake of my own sanity. thank you for your tips though, it's appreciated.

yeah. make a tube in 3d studio. then make a cog tooth. then hit the "array" button. then make clones of it. done.

Add more contrast/depth to the cog.
the pic otherwise rocks, but it (the cog) looks like a sprite-trying-to-be-a-model smack in the middle of Quake 3..
