 I don't really know what is happening but i use geoctities to store my art at and lately I have noticed that all my posted pictures appear as red x's is this true??? |

| Yes.... I seem to only be able to get a red x too. However, if I come back and try alter... it'll probably work. Seems to be a intermitant problem. |

i think its something with geocities because sam shit happens to me in everyforum ive posted so far, and my friend too  . Anybody know another place to store my crap at? |

Geocities don't allow you to link directly to an image from outside of their network. Most free web hosts don't allow this actually. The best solution is probably to make up a little .html file with the image in it and link to that with a URL.

Geocities does allow you to link directly to an image, actually. At least, it always has for me. But it seems to have been having lots of problems lately...

| Goecities does let you link to stuff but lately, as in over the weekend up 'til now I've noticed that the stuff in my thread "Ok, it's not digital" doesn't show up. I actually got something to post into another thread though. |

Yep,
I heard the same thing.. can't link from outside to geocities now.
Anyways, may as well try my new hosting while we're on the subject.
If that works then I'd suggest signing up with www.xoasis.com. Even if not, they sound nice - free webspace BUT cgi-bin access too, so useful for the l33t webbies out there :] |

| Aye, looks like I'll be looking for new web space as well. What was weird was that I actually did get a single image to show up in a thread earlier today...then it disappeared, never to come back...hmmmmm. |

xoasis.com seems to do the job nicely though :o)
