Well my wife recently bought me a Wacom intuos and the following is my first try at it. It was just a quick doodle to get the fill for it.
The second pic is my first real project that I am going to use it on. Its an old sketch I had lying around and thought it would be nice starter project. The gun will be changed and will have a great more detail to it. It will also have a beam of blue energy coming from the front and blue glowing exhaust out the back. Please let me know if I am heading in the right direction.
Thanks,

Very nice! That's your first time using a Wacom? I only hope I can do that well when I get one.
The lighting is very good and has the right touch on the alien type face. And you detail on the guy, what you've done so far is impressive...in my opinion. I have no crits. Good work. |

Thanks for the comments guys. The first image is actually a concept for a head pack I am working on for Team Arena. I have finished the model and skin so let me know what you think.

Awesome! I love the alien face, as hard as aliens are to design and create, and then even harder to make them look beleivable and realistic, and to make it 3 dimensional for that game, incredibly killer work.
I cannot wait to see that dude with the gun finished. You got realistic textures and lighting down to science already. Amazing.
Keep it up, looking foward to see more of your stuff.
In the meantime check out my page...LOL @ my shameless plug....

Looking good. The alien head looks good as a texture but not so cool as a picture.
The line work on the dude is great. If your coloring with a mouse about the only way is top down like you are working but with a tablet its better to paint the whole picture at once.
The reason for this is that the entire contrast of image will be right. Also you can try out a lot more combinations. |

I just love the feel you have into your work. I'd put you up there with Ken Scott, Rorshach, and OgrO (my favorites) in that I feel like I can reach out and touch the things you paint (esp. skins). Great job bobo!
