Er, lurked around this forum for a long time, but never got around to painting / posting anything till now. About 5 or 8 months ago, someone posted this pic as a reference, and i stored it away. I used it tonight as a base for an image of a Fakir - whattya think?
How can I add wrinkles, age, and above all *TEXTURE* to his skin? Using PS 5.0, btw.
Thanks!

Just keep painting dude. Its looking good so far. Paint the texture in or use a custom brush.

Wrinkles are just folds in the skin. Therefore, to draw wrinkles you just need to add highlights according to where the light is hitting the skin from, and add shadow on the opposing side.
You must realize that everything can be broken down into geometric shapes(circles, cones, cylinders, etc), which will make it easier to draw the surface of something that has protusions(a nose, lips, whatever).
I suggest you find some information on how lighting affects the surfaces of objects.
Hope that helped a little.
