VIOLA!!! my masterpiece!! ^_^...some of the things about it that i love won't be immediately obvious because you can't see the original set up that we had in class and how close i came to the proportions of the stuff...that's about half of the pride i derive from this pic...the other half is the shading...hope you like it ^_^

there were obvious technical difficulties in scanning it on the limited sized bed of my scanner which create the blue line and some other things

the reason i draw is not in hopes of peaking with one picture one day so i can stop...and even if it were this picture isn't perfect by any means but it's as perfect as ive ever done so im basking in it for awhile

well, since you posted here I guess I'l critique it. Well the composition is well done, nice and stable. I have a question though, did you have multiple lights set up, because there aren't too many strong shadows. Shadows cast on the board would really help ground the objects and make them more tangible. Jus tone more critiscism you want to have the full range of tones in a picture it makes for more realistic work. Good work on this picture, I hope you didn't take the critique poorly, just trying to help an fellow artisian. |

hahha...im just givin you sh*t...of course you want to always do better than your last....go ahead and bask, but not for too long, youll get lazy...now that duckman mentions it, it does look like you might be a little wary of going to dark with shadows and maybe ended up not going dark enough
