Who are all those thugs? The guy in the blue baseball cap looks like someone who has a sock monkey fetish. He probably eats Larvettes too.

Chapel: Yes, I think you're right, I was originally going for just 3 values forf each color, anime-ish...then changed my mind part way through...bad idea.

McSteed: I know, you know who they are...but thanks for adding something to the forum with your insightful and intriguing comments ...

This is one of francis' drawings that I have bastardized. Then colored I learned alot while doing this and I'm at the point where I want to start over with the things I've learned while making it. I've kinda lost interest in re-doing this piece, but would like comments and suggestions to apply to my next attempt.

Thanks to Francis for letting me color over his work and James (magpie) for answering my barrage of questions and staring over his shoulder, not to mention actually painting on some of this. And mr. ronny lemon and the rest of the presto bunch for inspiring me everyday.

Well.. with peers like that I don't know what I could tell you. This image looks pretty flat, but it kinda works with the lineart. It looks like that might have been what you intended. If not and you wanted it more "dimensional" you should add more contrast between your highlights and your dark areas. This will allow more tones inbetween to add form. Right now everything is very close and that is why things have a tendency to look flat. Hope that helps.

You forgot to add the little "I am Godzilla, you are Japan" quote over my head.
