Hey, I'm new to the digital scene and and I just started a drawing yesterday. The drawing was made in Photoshop 5 for the purpose of teaching myself how to shade and other techniques that I learned from this very site, so I did not care what it was or the compostion. Plus the sketch was drawn with a mouse cuz I dont have $300 to spend on a Wacom. Anyway, if anyone wouldn't mind giving me some tips, sites, techniques, or just a talking to about what I can do to help my digital art, please I would appreciate it. If worse case scenario just tell me to pack my bags and get out of the digital scene.

I am a lot better at traditional-get the side of your hand dirty art (not dirty art) than I am at this, but Ich habe ein Scanner nicht.

Very nice first try, especially with a mouse. I started out that way too, but couldn't take it anymore and blew my last chunk o' money on a Wacom. It's the best investment I've made in a long time.

Hmm, where was I going with this?? Oh, right, definitely good preliminary sketch with the mouse. Personally, I don't know how you did it. Nice coloring too, of course. Go a little easier on the smudge tool next time, though
