It's been a while so here's some stuff I've been working on. Not too many paintings, yet, but there will be soon.
Here's a whole bunch of concept sketches
Hope you enjoy.

Wow.. thats a lot of sketches.. took a little while to get all them with my 56k, heh, but Geocities was in good spirits for once.
Anyways, these are so inspirational.. damn you! Okay, first one, I'll give you a little crit.. I dont like his leg. It seems to of moved to far for the action sign you put in there.. the action just doesnt read very well, I'm afraid. Maybe move the leg back a little, so its closer to the bad dudes face?
3, 5, 6, and 7 are my favorites.. heheh, thats a pretty spiffed up Mario. I'd like to see that in one of Nintendo's games.

I just posted in your other thread, but like I said: I love concept art. My only crit is that first one looks rather strange to me. Maybe that's just because I'm a martial artist though. |

I was initially put off by the size of the images while they were loading, but gosh, they only took a minute for all of them, so no biggy.
Nice concept work! I've been trying all day to draw a 3d view of a new bot I made, but I only ended up drawing 3 identical legs
And Captain Falcon is much more of a fitting character than Mario, that and it looks like Mario is driving a vehicle covered with "yellowed" computer casing plastic from 1973. Hehe!
Despite Mario, these be good! Thanks for the show and tell! |

Okay, I guess I've got a different taste then everyone else here.
The first one is definitely my favourite. I like the kick because it looks so "loose" to me - as if he doesn't need to put much effort into it.
Somehow reminds me of A Clockwork Orange, but then, I'm a weirdo so don't listen to me.

Thanks everyone, what a warm welcome back
burnOut: The plane is actually a bike. Look at the mario bike, the pilot sits in a similar fashion.
The story behind the Mario drawing, is that it's a piece of fan art. A coulple buddies of mine get together once a week and play Nintendo, and they convinced me to do some fan art. hehe. It's not something I normally do, and as of now it is the only one of its kind....very rare, limited edition....

I agree with enayla on this one, I really like the way the kick looks...
I'd kind of like to see what it would look like if his (his) left lower leg was bent more backwards/left and his body crunched a little tighter... might look more dynamic but what do I know
great work tho |

Hey Skeezer,
I like the first one alot. Especially the guy who's getting kicked. It's not often that we get to see more 'dynamic' drawings from you so this one is nice. I think that perhaps the kicker's left arm may be in the wrong position though. If you think about a kick that you really wind up for, you normally (at least I would normally) start my arms high near my head at the beginning of the kick end them low, you've got it the other way around.
And of course the Mario kicks butt. The only thing about that one, was it done really fast? Your marker technique doesn't look nearly as solid as in others that I've seen from you.
Anyhow, as usual great work, talk to you later. |

Added you to my "always read threads by:" list! Nice concepts, especially the characters; the vehicle designs could use some more work. Pic 2, 3 and 4 are perfect; I really fall for that ranger-beauty, definitely finish and post that one! That is NOT a bow she is carrying, but some doublebladed weapon, right? And is that a cape or half a skirt? Looks like it starts at the belt...
