here's an update of a pic i posted a while back... with me doing a new college term, and me trying to learn 3d animation, it's left little time for me to do any personal work. but just yesterday i was able to work a bit on this pic. i was originally gonna add a woman flying in the sky on a vehicle or something, but then someone suggested adding a turtle swimming in the water, so i scrapped the idea of the woman alltogether (draw too many of them, hehe) and decided to go with the turtle idea. tell me what u think. crits/suggestions welcome.

First off, I love the angle. Very cinematic and dramatic. Much more effective than a straight shot.
Fantastic sunset. The play of light off the mountains in the background is very nicely done, as is the water in the middle.
My only gripe with it would be the turtle in the foreground. A bit sketchy (I assume you're gonna work on it more as it's in the WIP forum) and out of place.
If you do decide to tighten up the foreground, I think you'd have a pic you can sell! Just my thoughts.

thanks for the lovely reply..
the turtle and the water in the foreground is VERY scetchy at the moment, but i guess i just wanted to the the basic shape and mass into the pic, so i could get into detailing when i have the time. as for the turtle being out of place, if u could give me a suggestion, that would be great. the camera angle's already sorta wierd, making sorta hard to position the turtle. (been tilting my head a lot for this pic, hehe) |

Great! Love the water and the sky. I think the water could use more reflection in the foreground though. But besides that and the turtle no comply ( right word? )

Beautiful image so far.
Since the shot is that tilt angle, it seems like a fly through. You know with tilting camera going here and there. Anyway, the point being, if you draw the turtle pointing kinda towards the sun, you know head foreward with a bit of an angle to the left, you can make it look like the camera and the tutle are heading in the same direction, kinda like companions or a race....whatever, just more of that cinematic feel, I think. |

Hi Dakkan,
the turtle's not out of place. The sketchiness is. but if you're gonna be working on that, then I have absolutely no complaints at all. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |
