Hi People! I'm back from a long trip...
I got this picture to share with you... His name is 'Zombek' (a strange name uh?). Painter 6 did the magic (over a pencil scan).
...what do you think about it?.
I hope to finish it tomorrow.
Best

Looks great so far.. How do you go about painting him? any special way you go about laying down the colors? the colors and lighting looks realistic.. |

Very nice!! Has a nice Simon Bisley-like look to it.
Love the toning work. How'd you get Painter to do that? Agree about the veins, although seeing as it's a work in progress, this might not be the final look of the veins anyway.
Looking forward to seeing the finished work!! |

Whoah, That is awesome. Can't wait to see it finished. Not much to critique. The only thing that sucks is that I'm not that good
hehe
keep it up |

Wow, that's pretty sweet lookin'. I really like the use of green in the arm. The only thing that I don't like is the veins. I realize that its still in progress, but the veins don't look like they follow the contours of the arm at all. They look like an afterthought that was just kind of pasted on. |

Thanx for your words guys... I agree with you about the veins, they looks a little sharp. About the method, I use the same technique that Vebs explains in his website for one of his Conan (the general colors in a 'multiply' layer, then start to paint over from the darker colors to the lights... this is the shorter tutorial that I ever seen).
Cuddly: Simon Bisley is one of my biggest influences, but also Richard Corben, Bernie Wrightson, Frank Frazetta, Tanino Liberatore, etc.
Cheers.

yes, definately corben-esque.
looks like someone else was exposed to heavy metal during his formative years, yes?
