Wow.. she is cute. Did you use a reference pic? You probably should have planned the whole thing out before you went in and detailed it.

Yeah....that would have been a lil smarter huh.... Oh well. Was fun.

Yes I did use a reference....it was my inspiration. Ever just see a girls face and wanna draw her?? Not talkin Titanic style...though the thought did cross my mind but......I mean.....hehe...nevermind. Nonetheless I tried to draw her face accurately and then I was going to proceed with a unique concept and body...just havent thought of it yet. Thanks for the comment though. and the wow.

Wow, that's very nice. I was wondering the same thing about a ref pic. No critiques from me... I'm not good enough .

wow, that is great! One thing that seems weird to me is that her body seems a little more sketchy than her face, but I think it looks cool anyway. Maybe you did that because you're not sure what you want to do yet. The only two critiques I have are 1. She doesn't really seem to have a nostril. I think it would show up a little darker than that. and 2. Her eyes seem a little two white to me, or maybe just her right one because its in shadow. But I think it is a really great pic, especially with no reference.

Thanks for the input snowman. I added a nostril. my bad...hehehe....and added a little shading in the whites of her eyes so the arent so blindingly white. Also did a little smoothing on the face....the body is less detailed because I am not sure if I want her to look like that....contemplated a cloak....Look forward to some more input from you guys out there....really helps. don't be shy.

WOW, she's a beauty!
Couldn't do it better myself but i have this strange feeling that she has no neck? Or is it just that you want to have her hair hang infront of it?

i juse noticed, the pink part of her eye, near the end tip.. looks a bit too big on the right eye..

how did you go from the sketchy look in your first pic into your 2nd more finished smooth look? did you tun the opacity a lot?

damn.. this is such a great piece.. keep up the great work man..

I first used the blur tool......small brush over detailed areas....then used the lasso tool with a 5pixel feather over large areas like the forehead and did a gaussian blur.....only the areas in which the blur tool couldnt fix completely...yes....she has no neck....hoping the hair will fix that...hehe.

Any ideas on what she should be doing?? or just keep it as a portrait?

I think the eye(our right) is to much circle shaped. it should be more "sharpedged" in the left side were the tear-something is.

Looks good. Love the eyes! As far as a pose goes, I think her back should be facing the camera at a bit of an angle. Hope that helps!

Hi. Looks really good. I have to say, though, that I like the first version better. You lost a lot of the feeling of the piece when you blurred it. Though it does look more "finished".

One thing you'll probably want to do is go back and sharpen up some of the important edges... like around her eyebrows, eyes, etc. Some of the highlights got way too diffuse as well, especially on her nose. Sharpen those up again, and it'll look a lot better.

Oh, and you may want to go over her shoulder again... it doesn't look smooth, just blurry.

Darn...I was gonna use that body too peter!.....bummer. hehe...I actually had to keep from cracking up when I saw that body...very similar to what I was coming up with sadly...I appreciate all the comments..
I kinda like the roundness of the eye so I havent changed that...and the body was just blurred so I dont mind it looking like that...hehe..I am debating between a cloak or the whole bare shoulder thing still so I have avoided that entirely...
I did add some hair though and I tought I would share that with yas.
Enjoy...and cloak or bare shoulders? let me know. Thanks again.

Methinks it should be bare shoulders. You'd probably lose something (I dunno what) if you added a cloak
