Ok..I have a bunch of images...please say what you think about as much as you are willing to....here goes

Ok..this is an axe I just finished. Rendered it in Ghost. Still need to put some bump on it

Awsome. I hope you plan on adding textures to the bridge. It is going to look really good.

Hot damn, that is one SWEET ASS looking axe. I would buy that thing if it were for sale. NICE.

Can't help you out on the other things, since I'm not a 3D guru. Just had to say "wow" at the axe, though. Awesome design.

I'm not much into 3d myself....but trying to get there. Anyway, I think all your light sources are too extreme and your overexposing some stuff. For example, the WHOLE ax looks really shiny and mettalic....while only the blade is suppsoed to be shiny and mettalic. Although you may be aware of this, i'm just letting you know that it detracts from realism.

cool stuff. personaly i find having a really bright light helps to add a bit more realism. at least if its an outdoor shot. i really like the bridge shot, but maybe just a little bit less brightness, but not too much. this is just my observation though. best thing you can do is go outside in the middle of the afternoon and see how bright things get from the sun shining on it
