Hmm, I guess it will be a very long time until i could post anything in the FINISHED category

This I did after about 2 hours of frustration when i failed to draw things i wanted to, and then i tried to make a picture that would SHOW how i feel - the frustration and all, and i couldn't even do that....

So this is what i did... looks comic, of course (because i can't draw realistic... yet... :/ ) - and that's always easy to return to...
I was going for the 3D look of course, but it came out a bit flat, IMO...
So if anyone has any idea what i should do to make it look more "real" , even as a cartoonish character - and what i could do to sharpen it a bit, please tell me!

It's a guy wearing the VAULT 13 suit from the C-RPG game, Fallout

This one is alot better than my previous tries, though...

Any suggestions though? How can i add more DEPTH to it? How should i add sharpness?

Adding depth is mostly a matter of appropriate shading. Highlights and shadows in the right areas. With comics though, it gets much simpler. Often, a stance will affect the 3dness of something. Anything looked at straight on will have a "level" of flatness to it.

Sharpness is just a matter of putting a lot more work into the areas you want to define. Not really a technique, this is different for everyone. But suggestions aside, I think it looks cool - nice style

prog-ression

Big chins are fun! Big chins with small facial features are even more fun.

I'd suggest making the chin hairs less edgy - they look to have been drawn with the pencil tool. The rest of the picture has softly mixed colors and details... nicer

To make smoother chin hairs, you should use the airbrush tool with the smallest brush-size.

After you make the hairs, then you can put a little bit of shadow under each hair by making a layer beneath them and using a ~10% opacity airbrush to put a darker brown or some shadowy color below each hair (like what you did under the chin. Make it real soft though, because hair strands do not cast hard (well defined) shadows on skin.

I apologize for any harm that may come to you from this chin rant/help. :P

(dur, I just saw you did shadows for you chin hairs already... so here's another tip to make doing them a snap)

1. Draw chin hairs in Layer 1
2. Copy layer, place it under layer 1 (this is Layer 2 - chin shadow layer)
3. Set the layer 2 to multiply
4. Shoot the opacity down to 30% or so.
5. move it down with the arrow keys, make the shadows below the hairs.
6. Blur More on that layer to soften the shadows.

Again, I give no warranty for the success of this procedure. I hope you've got insurance!
