Thats pretty good control with the mouse Initial impression is that it seems to be cropped as if it was zoomed into a bigger image thats more interesting than whats being shown. If you want to just show beasts head, try adjusting the composition so it doenst look like you cut off the rest of the image.....(which i have a feeling you did )

Also, if you want to get a more "fuzzy" feeling out of the fur, try adding in some more different colors of hair, such as blonde.
But it's lookin good so far. I'de like to see it when its finished...
In the appropriate catagory of course

You might want to keep from adding that much detail so early in the stage. Try just adding flat tones to your image first. This will help you judge where you want your dark and light areas. Then you can go back in and start adding the fur.
I agree, nice control with the mouse.
If you keep that white background and then add something later, your colors will look different, they might appear darker or lighter than you originally hoped for. Try just adding a new layer under what your working on now and fill it with something that you might want for background. Doesn't have to be detailed, just a simple color or photograph. You can then delete it later when you're ready to start on your background.
Keep us updated with the progress, I certianly want to see how this turns out.

The texture of the fur is good. But it looks a little green (back off on the yellow). Also I think it should be darker.
Cant wait to see the finished product |

dhab, yes the image is cropped because i wanted to show u guys a zoomed up look at beasts face.
ForgottenDavey, um, i dont know about the blonde, but i'll definitly give it a shot.
samdragon, thank for your input, the background that i probally will put in there will hopefully be beasts room. (if u saw the movie, it was all trashed and very dark.) so yeah, hopefully these colors will look good against a dark background.
