work on the new forums is coming along well....i'm addicted to it....its fun we've been spending a bunchload of time tweaking, making new graphics, etc....
i'm thinking of opening up a beta of the board sometime this weekend for everyone to try out. everything posted to the beta forums during the beta will not last, so dont post real art and real questions on it, once all bugs and issues have been worked out, both forums will shut down while we transfer all the most current posts over to the new forums and then new forum will be activated. its almost here!
all your member stats and info will transfer over to so there shouldnt be a hitch...hopefully. once the new forum is running, new features will be added as time goes on...a lot of the stuff sumaleth's been working on like FAQs, links etc will be worked into the UI.

Hey, does this mean my original profile will become uncorrupted, and I'll be able to be plain ol' Socar MYLES again, without this pretentious J. stuck in the middle of my name? |

That sounds really incredible Dhabih. Am I the only one who is totally caught off-guard by this revelation? You've been doing all this work in secrecy for the good of us people? That's so nice! |

@ Doc Bang: H@RH@R. Nazty yuo.
Mr. DHABIH (?), it would be, err, most lovely to have the option to post flash movies. Flash movies which don't exceed a specific size, of course. That would give us a nice tool to generate alternative arts and enhance teh funnay.
Yours truly,

"enhance teh funnay"
Flash movies would be interesting. It could be used for animated tutes or critique, or to enhance.. teh.. yeah, funnay! Would require a bit of effort though. Besides I'm not sure that the forum would support it. Good idea though Flat.
Great to hear things are progressing Dhab, and your having fun. Thx for your effort. |

if only the most recent threads get transfered, then perhaps backing up sumaleths link archive would be a good idea so half the tutorials aren't lost... |

update on beta progress. i think we'll just go ahead and open up the beta later tonight...hopefully. there are still some style and format issues that i'll continue to hammer on over the next few days but i think once some of the main prolems get fixed (registration bugs etc..) we'll open up the beta. it'll be late though, so dont hold your breath....unless you have strong longs. |
