does it really make a differnce getting it? I would figure skill would out wiegh having some paper saying u know how to use it. though does it stand out more when looking for work? |

I *wouldn't* think so. Personally the portfolio weights more than any other piece of paper. But that's just in my experience.. You might want to talk to some HR people about that. |

If the person hiring you is an Art Director or another artist, he will probably care less if you have certification or not ... He'd want to see your work ...
If the person hiring you "don't know shit about shit" as Dennis Leary so eloquently put it, he might be impressed and assured by a paper stating that you know how to use PS. This kind of companies usually come and go like the tide ... because you have people without the skill/experience taking decisions they are not qualified for ... shy them like the plague ...
I've met both kinds ...
