it keeps flickering, changing light intensity, light, dark, light dark...so annoying, can't paint values, erk!

anyone know what i need to do?

Hmmm, sounds pretty nasty. I'd check your manual for a FAQ like this one.

Hopefully your inside warranty.

Loose video cable. Did you tighten the screws so the cable?

I just remembered someone here at Sijun was talking about speaker magnetic interference with monitor ray tubes. Move them away from the monitor, or get magnetically shielded hardware. Maybe that's whats doing it?

Thats right.. i had it too. i replaced my 'blaster' on the other side of my desk and my monitor stopped flikkering...

I had another monitor problem. My screen was going green at the right side. After trying replacing my speaker on my table the problem did continue. In the end I just put in a new power cable and voila, my problem was solved.
It's not exactly the same but might help, I think.
