I've heard that photoshop has a "line smoothing" option hidden somewhere within it that smooths the appearence of a fast drawn line, so it's not just a bunch of little straights. Problem is I can't seem to find it. Does anyone know if this really exists, and if so where?

Make sure the anti-aliasing box is checked.

Wait, are you talking about the way curved lines are broken into segments when drawn quickly? If so, I'm positive that's a problem with the brush engine in Photoshop, and hasn't been fixed.

actually, PS7 has a line-smoothing option... i believe it's under "other dynamics" (or something to that effect) in the brush palette...

Oh yeah, there it is, thanks. This is going to sound like a stupid question, but where did they move the stylus( opacity, color, and size)? For 7.0 that is.

The smoothing option was introduced in PS7 and does indeed fix the the problem with lines that are drawn quickly, albeit at the cost of reduced brush performance. Bring up the brushes palette (press F5) and it is just below the airbrush option:

[edit] Oops, looks like we posted at the same time

The shape option is under the "shape dynamics" tab, colour is under "colour dynamics" & opacity is under "other dynamics". It's all little more complicated than before but that's the price you pay for more control.
