That's a shame actually. The guy clearly has some talent, and yet decided go for a ripped version of someone else's website.

okay...i dunno why everyone so pissed off just cuz the site is the same as fengs...i mean he didn't use any of fengs actual artwork or icons...he didn't steal anything from feng except for a similar website layout..and thats hardly something to put someone in death for. yes, it isn't very original, but then again neither is fengs site. it's not a complete "rip" at all in my eyes...he's a pretty good artist too.

While I do agree that it is best that a person try and get their own style, I don't see a problem with borrowing someone else's SO LONG as they write it up themselves (not just copy/paste HTML) and don't steal any of the artwork. I enjoy designing websited and I look at other sites for sources of inspiration (granted i change them to my tastes), but there are plenty of websites out there which one could accuse of being based on other sites.

To name a really cheap example, take this forum. Most forums have a similar format and style.

And now in defense of the comments already made (yeah so i like to explore all angles
) yes. It is alot like the feng site except for colors and change in pixel height.

I agree. Chris Noeth seems to be a really good artist, but that does not give him the right to copy the design of another site without (written) permission of the owner.

Sites like http://www.pirated-sites.com do not exist for nothing and in addition to that it is possible to take court action againt a person who does such a thing like stealing a design.

The designer/owner - in this case Feng Zhu - has invented the design and has put effort in it to create something unique.

i can't believe some of you guys are condoning this kind of thing. good design takes a fair amount of thought and effort and for someone to just jack it like that is way, way uncool.

however it's possible chris got permission from feng or something, in which case it's all good .

in this case it is a little more serious..as they have stolen parts of the actual website. (or i cant read korean, and they are part of the same company or somethin...)
look at the M...its stolen from the magna carta logo...that should be punished, but i don't see anything stolen from fengs site.

LMAO! too funny Ah fheng zhu is really a great artist but when i emailed him once to thank him on the 'tools he uses' i got carried away writing a 'love/admiration letter' LMAO and i think he got scared haha, damn he is really awesome ;_; Hmm and that guy who copied his site he seems OK too weird :X But .. they are very similar even some artwork hmm LOL!! maybe they work together or something :X its soo close
