Great work Suma! I love the way I can learn a little about the artists, all those little icons are great.
How do I know if what I want to add to a section is valid? Is there any criteria for submitting a link?
err... just noticed that you were going to be the one adding most of the links, well for the ppl with an account status in the future, how will they know if a link is worthy of posting? we need criteria.
Is it supposed the be a rated system to? I couldn't find any way to rate a topic.
the search worked for me, which is good. Nice feature. It is very fast too!
I would change the colour of the 'Sumaleths link archive. It looks kinda yucy to me.
BIG FAT thank you for doing all of this. I'm looking forward to contributing. |

That's awesome! I hope that's a recource that will grow fast. I feel like I'm one of the few 3d artists on this forum, if you feel like adding me to the link you can. |

Wow! Thanks for this great resource!!
One small suggestion: I'd like to see a number next to the subjects stating how many links there are for that subject. This is mostly helpful now while some of the subjects have few or no links.
Thanks for doing this.

Re: the discussion in-
http://www.sijun.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=3&t=003394&p=5
-about the benefits of a good link archive. I've finally got the site up and running so here's the first public beta;
http://www.sumaleth.com/links/
--
Obviously at this point I'm hoping it'll be seen as an extension of the Sijun Digital Art Forums (one of hopefully several such extensions).
Pretty much everything -should- be working now I think, with the exception of the Forums/Communities area which I have worked out yet. But searching and navigation should work fine.
I've put in a couple of dozen test entries. The site uses Coranto as a database system so all entries are entered (and edited) via a web interface. It's pretty nice.
I can actually set up accounts to allow people to add links at will, and I'll probably do that if it takes off. But I'd like to give it a good beta test first just to see if anything needs changing before I start adding links en masse.
--
So, everyone is free to test it out as hard as they can to see if anything breaks. Or if a link goes to the wrong place or if there's a word wrong or whatever.
I'm also interested in throughts on the presentation itself. It'd actually be a bitch to change stuff now, but if something is less than as effective as it could be I will probably make the changes.
--
Personally, I'm wondering if the 'Artists' category could benefit from one or two more fields;
. Rating (let visitors rate links and report the average)
. Description (a few words about the site)
Kinda running out of room, and I don't know if they'd be really necessary.
Anyway, thoughts welcome.
Row.
PS. there is no faq yet

ValarianROOT:
Good point. I'll put a "submit link" button there somewhere. |

i don't want to sound as a bitch, i can't wait to see the database filled in , but i can see one small thing that u could change. The title pic is too big and because of that site doesnt fit in 800 x 600. A small spot in perfection |
