heyas im new
ok the first question is whats the sig limmit size in pixels? its normaly 500x200 is that the same here?
2nd question is more complecated
i have a scanner not a good one its a visoner 4100 i think.. scans at 600dpi max..
now i mostly do hand drawings and i would like to scan them into my computer.. the bad thing is when i scan them on greyscale (pencil drawings) i dont get all the detail even though the drawings are quite dark..
can anybody suggest a good scanner or any spefiic settings? thanks in advanced for any help |

1st question: we don't allow graphical sigs at all here.
2nd question: 600 DPI should be enough for line art, but then you're using a consumer-grade scanner, so who knows what kind of funky interpolation its doing to arrive at that number. You could look into a pro-grade scanner (be prepared to spend 4-600$ minimum), or perhaps a nice digital camera (My Nikon Coolpix 995 captures far more detail than my old scanner did, but it can be tricky to eliminate lens distortion), or you could find some settings in a paint program that you feel comfortable sketching with, and do all of your drawing digitally. I've got a very realistic set of drawing tools put together in Photopaint and almost never pick up a real pencil anymore. |
