i see people show painting tutorials and modeling processes and stuff in full video rather than a few individual pictures.. what program or programs can i use to do this?

The best program for this sorta thing is called Camtasia, and you can download it at download.com. A couple of things to remember when you are doing this is that it uses up a lot of cpu power, so make sure you aren't capturing something too high res, or with a framerate that is too high. I used to use it a lot, but I got really annoyed at the pause every couple seconds. another way to do it if you want to get rid of the pause is to use a video card with tv out to output the screen to another computer that can capture the incoming video. The quality kinda sucks that way, but at least you can work at full speed

What you can do is to set "Hardware Acceleration" to "none". It's a lot faster then.

There's another proggie for those things. It is called RoboDemo, you can use Google to find more information and downloadable free trials.
