Most of you probably don't care.. but I would like an artistic opinion.

I am thinking of cutting my hair to right under the ears and bleaching it. I asked a few friends and they said "Whatever you want" Obviously I'll do whatever I want.. but on this subject I am rather undecided. I liek it how it is.. but I want a dramatic change too.

David wants me to die it bright red ;p.. thats I do not want to do.. but I figure if it looks horrible.. it will always grow out right?

Since most of you know what I look like.. i won't bother posting a picture.

Its all about style.

orange, not red... but not bright blind your eyes orange, orange like irish people orange, it would just compliment your face i think, but i don't know if it would work as well if your hair was really short.

or for a haircut i saw once and thought was pretty cool:

cut the back short as you wanted it, bleach everything except the bangs which are long and the tips. then dye the bangs and tips black. then animeify them as you see fit

don't make it purple... a friend here did it purple and it is only visible when there's light going through it otherwise it's black

Personal opinion I guess. Just seems that every female is cutting their hair short...I'm hard pressed to find any women who have hair that's even as long as mine was when I grew mine long (not the case now, cut it a year ago...been called Maximus ever since...well, when I shave the beard just right, too, heh).

Like you said, it's up to you, but personally I think you have beautiful hair...from what few photos I've seen of you I think that your hair frames your face well. I know that it's probably a pain to keep it up, though, which is one reason I cut mine. I always wish that girls I know wouldn't cut their hair but the shorter hair always grows on me...like I said, initial reaction based on personal preference.

A nicely done cut will work out in the end and to those who are important to you it won't matter...you'll look just as good to them no matter what.

Not that you need to or anything but ...go with the short. Personally I think its much more sexy having the neck exposed. Plus the short hair looks great or rather would look great. As for color, I'd say a darker color, brown or something. Or if you want a dramatic change, go bald. Looks great bald right? Then you could put your head in the "ball-o-shine-o" at bowl america.

heh I have long hair... (going on 10 inches now, since I stopped cutting it)
and I like my long hair, and I allso like girls with short hair... then again I go for anything that isn't tradigional. the same ol' long flowing, or medium bouncy hair is just boring and to me looks like everyone else.... oh yah, and if you've got the attitude to back it up, any haircut will work on you.

I wont be around to see it, so i could care less, but i thought i�d just slip in i love short hair on girls. It�s cute as hell, as long as it fits your face right.

Then again, what�s hair? It�s the person underneath it that counts. My girlfriend could grow swamp ferns on her head and she�d still be gorgeous.

I agree,do not cut your hair. All girls have short hair now, and I dont really like it. Long hair is so much more beautiful.

Pragmatic approach: short hair is easier. I speak out of experience. My girlfriend has hair practically down to her waist. It takes literally forever to wash.
BUT, it is gorgeous and my god there is nothing like burrowing your face into a mass of beautiful, long, scented hair... *sigh*
To me at least.

Short hair's nice too though.

So basically, try it. If you don't like it, it'll grow back and you can always color it again. It would be a shame not to try. I did something quasi-funky with my hair a while back after wearing it the same for 17 years. I promptly decided I didn't like it, and just grew it back to the original. No regrets about it either.

Don't do it, Ivey--you'll regret it later, when you want your long hair back, but you can't have it, and then you try to grow it back, and it gets into that awkward 'growing out' style that you can't brush back and you can't put in a ponytail, and it hangs in your eyes all the time, and all you can do is wear a headband, but then you look like some kind of headbanded Star Trek freak.... Don't do it!

Short hair is soooooo sexy. As long as it doesn't give you what's known in scotland as a bawheid. (a ball-head)

my ex had long blue-black hair (in a model kinda way not goth) she got it cut short and she looked stunning. She has a kinda similar face to you I think, sharp features.

I say go for it, it'll always grow back. Ha! deny that if you can mr jussi! (disease aside)

Just a note... if you DO decide to die your hair make sure to use proper die; as my gf can attest to it some colors fade into others... in her case it was SUPPOSE to be red, now it's a lovly shade of orange *sigh*

Decolour it and then dye it red. Shiny red, oh yes.
But you always can left it as cut it before and then decide wether you want to dye it or not.

Well, the graphics nerd approach: load a photo into Photoshop and edit it to see what it would look like. If you don't feel confident in you own abilities, something tells me there would be several volunteers here to do it for you...
