I use a german keyboard layout on my system and have this strange problem that in Photoshop I sometimes suddenly have an english keyboard layout. I just cant figure out when it exactly switches. All I know is that suddenly my undo function doesnt work anymore and my image changes from RGB mode to CMYK mode instead. The strange thing is that this is only in Photoshop like this. All the rest of my system is still working with the german layout. I guess there is a hotkey for this and I accidently used it, but I just cant figure out when.
Does anyone know how to prevent this or how to switch back to my default keyboard layout?
Cos this is very annoying... |

YES!!! I finally found out what the problem was. I thought I share it in case someone else happens to have the same problem (and I can tell you, its really a pain in the butt!!!).
Well its quite simple: I had two keyboard layout installed and the german one was the default one. When ever I tried to extend a selection in PS via "left-alt" and "shift" windows switched the keyboard layout for the current application. Control Panels -> Keyboard -> Input Locales is where you can turn of the shortcut or remove the second keyboard layout.
man, I glad I found it... |
