All of a sudden, my wacom just won't stay still... no matter how still i hold the pen, it is constantly jittering to the lower right. i don't knwo what i did to make this happened. the only thinkgs i've done since i last used it was re-install photoshop 7, and clean up my computer area (which involved unhooking the wacom). i've checked the connection, and tried more than one one usb port, installed new drivers... i dont' know what else to do! anyone able to help??? i definatly don't have the money to buy a new wacom... i really hope one of you has had a simillar problem and can help me.
i don't think i can live much longer without my wacom
geo
ps: heres what it looks like when i try to make lines with my pen now.
oh yea i forgot to mention, i'm using Windows 98SE, with a Wacom Intuos 6x8 and its allmost a year old. newest drivers too.

umm... I have mine right smack in front of the monitor... in fact the top part even goes in a bit under the monitor itself... why's that matter? I don't have any problems whatsoever... |

Ive had a similar jittering problem before - it was the USB port. I just switched to the pin port and it's fine. |

I have my wacom on an incline (easel) in front of the monitors. I solved the jittering problem by reducing the refresh rate from 115 to 100.

Hi,
Where do you change the refresh rate? I'd like to try it to see if it helps to keep my pen from "jumping" now and then. (It doesn't jitter all the time and my tablet's not close to my monitor.)
I doubt it will help, but it's worth a try. What I really need is more RAM and a new tablet.
Thanks in advance, |

just for the sake of it I checked my wacom... moved it waaay back from the wacom and yep... the pen was absolutely still... I had just put it down to my hand shaking, thus I hadn't noticed the jittering at all...
however, it is much less at the bottom of the wacom then at the top even if the top of it goes in under the monitor... I wonder how the wacom reads the pen... hmm |
