Most of the stock photo libraries on the web offer keyword searching and pretty good size comp photos if you register.

I shoot most of my regular reference myself - the more the better. It also depends on what kind of images you're looking for - landscape, humans, tech, skies, space ...

A good reference collection is worth a 100 times the harddisk space it's using. I've now got probably about 8GB of reference and still feel I'm just starting ...

I take a lot of photos for reference - buy lots of books - always look out for it, never know when you're gunna need it. Of course thats no help to you now! :-)
