Well be sure you make several different copies of the files you save. Painter 7 likes to fall down occasionaly as well, maybe its from its own excitement about being used

It does corrupt its own native Riff files without warning, when saving usually.
I save in PSD, Tiff, Bmp and then Riff (last).

Also a new thing I do, when I have a majority of the "underpainting" done, I create a new layer atop (check marking, pick up color from layer below). Well when I have gotten far enough along I "select all" of the top layer and copy it to a new window and save that in Riff. Why? P7 is unstable it seems with large files, the more layers you have the more often it "corrupts" saving to Riff. I work 11 x 14 @ 200 dpi then go to 400 dpi for final details.

Well I just wanted to share this "buyer beware" note. If anyone wants to add more Painter 7 goofs, please do, i would like to know what I ahven't encountered yet!

Shane
