Is here somebody that has a intous2 tablet? I said something about this in another tread but this is freaking me out!! I don't press that hard, no scratches on the overlay, I don't know why those nibs are wearing out so fast!! maybe theres a problem with my pen or something... How often do you change nibs, or at least could you tell me if this is normal?? I live really far from the US and wacom doesn't ship here, I wanna know if theres a workaround for using those nibs... also is there a difference between Intous 2 pen and Intous 1 ??
Please some words...

Um, what sensitity setting have you set your tablet at? You might have the sensitivity set too low? Are you using a piece of paper on your tablet? That wears it down fast.
My nib lasts me at LEAST a year or more, and that's using it at a full-time job, painting textures. |

Did you ever have a Wacom prior to your Intuos 2? Did you discover by comparison that the latest Intuos pen nib wears at a faster rate? I have had my Graphire for about a year now and the nib appears to be far from replacement.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if Wacom is intentionally making the nibs wear out faster to force users to buy replacements.

Nop, this is my first tablet, and thats what I'm afraid of (wacoms intention). Don't you notice how it is not completely round on the tip? not a little bit? check with a magnifying glass please... I just want to know if this is normal |

oh and I noticed (just in case I run out of nibs) that in Painter you can paint with the eraser! but is this possible in photoshop?, I haven't found a way.
And can stick something made out of plastic into the pen?? has somebody tried an alternative to original nibs??

nope, but it could be funny to experiment with wood and other materials, in combination with different types of paper.
