Hello everyone. ;} I don't normally post in the discussion boards, but I wasn't sure a tutorial would be appropriate in the other forums.

For a friend in another forum, I made up this 30-step Illustrator 9.0 (faster than by hand) tutorial to give her a basics to intermediate stage lesson on how to correct her perspective. She is very good at characters (I can track down her site if you wish, this particular example of hers doesn't do justice to her costume creativity) but rarely does she draw backgrounds. So one day, she decided to do so and though it came out great for a first try, there was a lot that needed fixing.

So I sat down and used my fastest techniques I knew of to teach her to replicate the scene in more proper perspective. I don't claim to be an architect, and I would love to know more advanced techniques, but this is an easy way to do it if you have Illustrator.

I have other tutorials, even another perspective one that avoids the mile-long linework. I was hoping to help anyone out that might need some extra guidance. So here you are. ;}

Oh, and if anyone else might know of some advanced techniques (like putting the curved tips of a japanese temple or some such madness) I would be very grateful for some knowledge exchange. All the perspective I've ever known is self-taught. ;} Don't ask how that happened to get past me in a 5-yr graphic degree. ;} hahah.

I hope this is helpful to someone. Thanks for listening and any potential advice on resources or online tutorials for some advanced techniques. :}
