I know Photo6 kicks but in many regards, and I totaly agree. I am looking for the ideal skinning program to test out what I have done in photoshop for a variety of models from LWO to 3DS. As I have little experiance with the highend $$$ 3D software.

Is there specific software jsut for this, as I am trying to create nore of a niche for myself. Pro software preferably...thanks

Shane

Deep Paint 3d seems popular, but I've never used it myself.

What are you trying to do again?
If you want model viewer, try 3d explorer. You said you wanted to "test out what you have done" so i'm guessing test out textures on models? Then you WILL need any high-end 3d package as you will have to skinmap the textures on models.

I have Dp3D and I don't use it for the actual painting of skins. I use it for testing mapping and seams, and for generating mesh layouts for painting over, but use Photoshop for the actual rendering of the textures.

yep, i agree to milla. photoshop is the best for painting the skins themselves asi it's the most flexible program.
i use a combination of photoshop 6 and 3d exploration. works fine
