... who would they be, what what aspects of their talent/career would you want to assimilate?

Me:

I would love to have the painting skills of Bouguereau and Schmid, the aesthetic sensibility of Sargent, Waterhouse, Robh Ruppel, the design capability of Yamashita Ikuto, Syd Mead, Nirasawa, and Shirow. Of course, Whelan's freedom to take long sabbaticals and do his own stuff whenever he feel like it, but still make a very comfortable living.

Career wise, I would love to have James Cameron's freedom to do his own films without budget constraints(Once I get the taste of making my own films, I might never pick up the paintbrush, or Wacom, ever again). I would also love to score my own film, having the combined talents of James Horner, Hans Zimmer, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Basil Poledouris. And on the side, having my own CD's released with guest vocals by Harriet Wheeler, Angie Hart, Allison Shaw, Elizabeth Frasier, Lisa Hall, and Kawai Sonoko.

Dreams--what would we be without them?

Dreams, what would we be with out them? Easy, psycho insomniacs who fight over the smallest thing and kill eachother like there's no tomorrow; besides, since we never sleep, it doesn't feel like there's a tomorrow. Common, haven't you watched Star Trek? All these questions are answered.

*realizes he just let his own personal trekie out*

Really though, there's just too many artistic styles I'd like to be able to do to be able to name all the artists or artistic people I'd like to be.

Pablo Picasso said "Bad artists copy. Good artists steal."

There are so many great artists, and countless other lessfamousbutjustasgood ones. And all of them have great amounts of talent and skills that set them apart from others. It's hard to pick and choose. And actually, I don't think I'd want to.

I like many artists but I want to be me, suck as I may...

everyone assimilates to a certain extent.

But I dont want to spoil the mood, so I pick Massimiliano Frezzato.

I would conjure a spell to make my own powers 400x greater, and thats the way it'd be.

I would like to assimilate the knowledge of Ron Lemen initally and then move on to the idea of gaining the knowledge of long gone artist.

The knowledge would only get me partly there. I would not want the psychosis that each artist was suffering.

BoBo the seal. I can skin and I'm finding modelling fairly intuitive, but I have totally lost the ability to draw concept art as I haven't drawn for about fifteen years. To have BoBo's uniform skills in all areas would make my world complete.
