I am having a really hard time getting away from using the Airbrush tool in Photoshop. I've noticed that a lot of the people in this forum use the paintbrush more than the airbrush.
My question is, does anybody have any really useful advice on how to steer away from the airbrush? I'm not looking for tutorials, just some advice.
Thanks! ![](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) |

I dont know how to use the air brush in a good way, so I use the paint brush at a low opacity instead, try it! |

Up till now I only used the airbrush and thought the same thing you did, however, I recently tried the paintbrush just to see what it could do and I liked the results. In my picture I used BOTH the paintbrush and airbrush and they worked rather well with one another.
You don’t NEED to use only the paintbrush just because most people here do, Iv seen great works done with ether or both. Each tool has there place.
Try drawing something simple 3 times, one with the airbrush, one with the paintbrush, and one using both. See which one you like and go with it. |
