I jus wanted to know where you learned to do cartoons... like building up characters until it turns into something. I can draw stuff straight out but not building characters up the way you showed me not to long ago. I would like to learn how to do it. |

cartoon characters..
I learned the basics by COPYING
the books of Preston Blair
('drawing cartoon characters' + 'animating cartoon characters' -walter foster
publishing).
this classic Disney animator explains
very good how to construct animation
characters.
also best keep a large file of examples
of various cartoon styles so you can see how it's done nowadays (the preston style is
somewhat outdated)
Then it's all up to you and practice for
months/years/lifetime to improve your skills. |
