Um..heh. I guess I put my website in my member info then didn't I?

Well that was around the time I first got my digital camera and had a handful of pics I was going to show some friends so I figured I'd try and make a website with my free 10megs I get with my DSL. Hoo boy is it lame the more I look at it. I sure update often eh?

Anyway, yes. The birds are for real. Those are Burrowing owls that my wife is helping with a study on at the Florida Atlantic University campus. It is hard to tell by looking at the pictures, but they are only about the size of a soda can. Tiny little owls, big saucer eyes. Interestingly enough the Burrowing owls are the FAU mascott, but the school keeps building over what little habitat the owls have left. There is still a small population of the Florida species of Burrowing owls on the west coast of Florida but other then that there isn't much left of this particular sub-species. The western sub-species, found out by California and surrounding area are doing well enough that
nobody seems concerened about population decline yet.
